HP shrink the data centers with their new launched “box”. This “box” is a containerized data center which price starts at about 600.000$ without the inside equipment. How useful and how many customers will attract HP with this product we will see in the future, but for now if you have enough money to spend on such thing, you can have your own datacenter in your backyard.

Does the Nexus 7000 Obsolete the Catalyst 6500?

Well, this is one question that rise a lot of discussion regarding the future of Cisco Catalyst 6500. With the release in 2003 of Nexus 7000, many IT professionals are awaiting for Cisco to announce the end-life of 6500 series.

John McCool ((Cisco’s SVP and GM for both product lines) give assurance that the support and development for 6500 series will continue and the Nexus 7000 was not designed to replace the Catalyst 6500 line.

Cisco’s UCS: A closer look

Cisco is claiming its new Unified Computing architecture will save IT departments 20% cheaper on their hardware costs and 30% on IT running costs, compared with traditional systems.Launched on Monday, March 16, the Unified Computing System unites computing, network, storage access, and visualization resources in a single energy efficient system, the company said. World’s largest cell phone

The world’s largest working cell phone has be unveiled in Chicago. Not only can those in the area venture out to see the massive cell phone unveiled for its record-setting attempt, but it actually works and you can make free phone calls and send free text messages.

The device is a replica of the Samsung Messager phone. The phone measures 15 feet wide by 13 feet tall and it broke a Guinness World Record.
